Everyone’s favorite Family Guy, Seth MacFarlane, who recently spoke at PromaxBDA, just completed a deal with Google to produce and distribute a cartoon show strictly for Google. It will run in two-minute episodes and will be working with AdSense in terms of advertising. It should be pretty funny seeing as “Family Guy” is some of the funniest stuff on television. Advertising with this web series which will be called, “Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy,” which will come in multiple forms like a commercial before the two minute clip or a banner at the bottom of the video. This will definitely change the market and the way people consume entertainment. Read more about this here.

Sadly, George Carlin died on Sunday of heart failure. It was a sad day for comedy because from what I recall, this guy made swearing funny. Although he was known for having the dirtiest mouth in stand-up, he made critics happy by being the voice of Thomas the Tank Engine. All I can say is thanks for making my vocabulary a little bit dirtier. Here is some classic George Carlin talking about answering machines.

….In light of watching Tiger do it again, I decided to post one of his older commercials. Very memorable. I remember when this commercial was all the hype.

….There is a new type of soda out there and apparently on the can, they do not tell you what flavor your going to have. This is exciting. I am always in for a cold coca-cola classic, out of the fountain, but this is something i could give a shot. Here is a shot of what their soda machines will look like. Pretty hilarious.

…so my man Henry sent me a link to this awesomely sweet video. This is a group of people known as Improv Everywhere that got together in Grand Central Station and just froze all at the same time. Thats the jist of it. Just watch….Very entertaining.

….I just found out that the geeks over at MySpace.com are renewing their whole design for their website. They are not completely making it different but they are reworking the navigation tools and creating an easier experience for everyone. Here’s a picture of what it could look like.

New york’s West Village, one of the most unique looking places to see in the city is being threatened by developers. Places similiar to the West Village in other cities like London and San Fran have been threatened by developers as well. This Bohemian area home to many artists and interesting people must fight to stay unique and one-of-a-kind. There is a story in next month’s Vanity Fair. You can read it here.

HBO just bought a part of the website funnyordie.com. This website, run by Will Ferrell and guys like Judd Apatow has been putting up small, hilarious videos for the past two years and has acquired much attention. This deal is going to set up some time on HBO where these videos and new material will be put on the HBO network. not much detail is out yet but you can read more here.
