New york’s West Village, one of the most unique looking places to see in the city is being threatened by developers. Places similiar to the West Village in other cities like London and San Fran have been threatened by developers as well. This Bohemian area home to many artists and interesting people must fight to stay unique and one-of-a-kind. There is a story in next month’s Vanity Fair. You can read it here.

Skiing Through the Airport

Jun 10, 2008 in MISC

A New System to help traffic people through airports has been placed in most American Airports. This system is used to help flyers move through the airport whether they are non-frequent flyers going on vacation with their families or someone who flies on a weekly basis. The cool thing about this is that the system looks a lot like you’re about to hit the ski slopes. Here is the story at the NY Times.

What’s The Point

Jun 10, 2008 in MISC

I was reading on Huffington Post this morning and saw something horrible. If MTV really thinks they involve themselves with the music world then they are horribly mistaken. This morning I read that Brody Jenner, a reality star on the fake show “The Hills,” is getting his own reality television show where Hollywood seeking losers try to become his best friend. The show is respectively called “Bromance.” Lets hope MTV can market towards music lovers like they used to. But until then we will have to settle for scripted reality. Thanks MTV.

American Gladiators meets The Hulk

Jun 06, 2008 in MISC

The other night on American Gladiators, the new version with Hulk Hogan, one of the Gladiators came out dressed like The Incredible Hulk. This is f*cking sweet. There is a new movie coming out with Ed Norton as the Hulk and the movie decided to market their film through American Gladiators. What a great move. Check this video out, Hulk Hogan is hilarious.

Live Advertising….In The Sky!

Jun 06, 2008 in MISC

…Get this, thrillseekers jumped out of a plane at 14,000 feet last week in Britain and spelled out the letters of Honda to promote the car company. The catch was that it was all on Live TV on a British news network. I would be really surprised if I was watching television and then all of a sudden I see skydivers spelling out letters to promote Honda. I mean when’s the last time you got to see Live Skydiving? Check out the story. skydivers-honda_tuqlx_7548.jpg

Radio to Television to Internet

Jun 06, 2008 in MISC

Recent reports are saying that less people are tuning into MTV, the once media dominating platform, and focusing more of their time to the internet. It seems MTV has gone away from what they used to do when music was important to the network. It seems MySpace and Facebook have taken control. Fear The internet. Check out the story here.
